Just Shoot Me - Dark MsStress #6 (August 2002)

Originally uploaded online as the fifth installment of my Dark MsStress series webcomic, 'Just Shoot Me' introduces Art Van Dulaid, a low budget Bob Guccione wannabe. The name of course was a nod to the Seinfeld running gag Art Vandelay which was a made up name George Costanza frequently used on the classic TV show. Art made a 2nd appearance in the final installment of my series.
I also liked the Phat Dick character who appears here as a former wrestler turned porn actor. I never did anything else with him..but who knows...maybe he'll show up in a future machinima episode.

I hope everyone is enjoying the new movies. And thanks to the people who pointed out that the blogs default setting prevented people from posting anonymously. That's fixed now.. So, i'm hoping to hear from you.
The Halloween episode has just hit 1000 views after it's first week online on Youtube. However, still only 2 viewers took the time to comment.

I've also been recently uploading material to my Deviant art page which I'd forgotten I had for the last 4 years or so. Some of which does not appear here on the blog.

Room For One More, Honey...

I just completed the initial filming for my next Dark MsStress Machinima movie, which will be a special Halloween episode.

The film is sort of a response to a recent film by Mako which takes place in a Haunted Mansion. Mako mentioned how much he loved the Disney Haunted Mansion Theme Park attraction, and I reminded him...(...her... Whatever...) that there's a brilliant virtual recreation of the Haunted Mansion in Second Life. So, I responded that I'd make my next Dark MsStress installment at the Haunted Mansion since (s)he'd never seen it.

Looks like the running time will be around 10 minutes, but I still have more editing, foley, and scoring to do... But, it's safe to say that it'll be uploaded to YouTube in time for Trick of Treat.

I'm not really getting the comments here that I'd hoped for considering the amount of updates I've been sharing since starting this blog in august. So, I see things haven't really changed much with my material & feedback since 2004. I've got one more film in the can after this next episode, which could be up before november... and then I'll see where it goes after that.

I'll also post another classic comic and cover soon as well. Stay tuned!

NEW MACHINIMA! Dark MsStress - 'Daisy & Confused' (2013)

The follow up machinima episode to 'Return of the Dark MsStress', 'Daisy & Confused', picks right up where the last episode left off, as the Mistress begins the training of her new slave 'Daisy', and tries to dig some important information out of the former male menace who was terrorizing Empire City.

WARNING: There are some explicit scenes in this episode... (It wouldn't be 'Dark MsStress' with out them...), So, I didn't even attempt to edit a clean version for Youtube, instead uploading the full HD video to Dailymotion. If you have any issues viewing it here.. You may need to turn off their safety feature.

Let me know if you have any issues... because, if this works out I may forego future Dark MsStress uploads to YouTube. I worked hard making the Return of the Dark MsStress completely original right down to the score, so no one could make one of YouTube's copyright claims... and you know what...?? They STILL claimed use of 3rd party license that is total BULLSHIT, and placed an ad to some artist I've never heard of on my video.

They rejected my claim that all of my content was my own original material, and made it so I can't appeal my claim for another month. This is unacceptable, because now we're talking about someone else using MY copywritten material to make money off of a link to their Amazon page.
So screw Youtube!

Now this is important...

I've said it before, but if you watch and like what i'm doing with these movies (or anything else that I'm posting here on this blog...) and want more.. You MUST give feedback! Because right now THIS is the only place you will see this. I'll share links to this page from the other groups that have been supportive, and have lead traffic here. But if i'm going to continue doing these, I really want to hear from you. Don't take my efforts for granted.

Peace & Love

Dark MsStress - 'The Ani-MsStress' (2003)

I was following a thread over at the TG Comics forum regarding 'too much Poser art' and not enough traditional 'hand drawn art'.

While I do agree Poser graphics are a bit overused in this genre, and seeing whatever the current DAZ models of 'Mike & Victoria' all over the place does make a lot of artists contributions look the same.
The issue with a few artists seemed to be about rendering in poser takes less time than free hand drawing. I haven't rendered in Poser in years... But, I do remember leaving poser running overnight to render complicated scenes when I was working on the Dark MsStress comic.

Perhaps the latest versions of poser and DAZ render faster now than when I was using them but, I've been drawing pretty much since the age of 4. I have a degree in comic art & illustration, and for me personally... I could draw a page by hand (pencils & inks) in half the time it would take me to render all the panels in poser.

Dark MsStress was always an experimental project for me. Not only did I learn 3D art while creating it... A few times I went back and did illustrated installments, utilizing various styles and giving nods to favorite influences just for fun, and to keep things interesting. I remember my readers reactions, a few telling me they liked the drawn art better than my 3D graphics... and yea! They should!... I've been doing it longer, and that's what I've done professionally since before graduating art school.

Now with the machinima, Dark MsStress has yet another form of media to represent her story...
And that's really the key.. 'Story'.
It really doesn't matter what medium an artist chooses to tell a story... as long as the story is clear, and engages the viewer.

I would suggest that more artists (not only in the TGTF community) experiment with other mediums & styles to broaden their range. I'm a storyteller, so even if you took my computers away from me... I can still produce something with a pencil and a pad.

We're living in a great age... So many options... I can draw on my ipad with my finger with some incredible apps.

With that said.... Here's a fun 2 page hand drawn Dark MsStress special I did back in 2003 called 'The Ani-MsStress' which was a nod to some of the Anime, & Manga styles that influenced The Matrix.
I remember doing this very quickly, and assembling the sketches into panels in photoshop.

Training Day - Dark MsStress #5 (July 2002)

Originally posted July 2002, here is the next 3 page installment of the original Dark MsStress webcomic series. Here the Mistress begins the training of her new girls, the former gang members she had encountered in the subway.

Question: How many of you have these pages already? If you do,... did you save them from the original site back in the day, or did you upload them from another source..like megaupload?
How many are seeing them for the first time?

Talk back! I don't want this to be another 'Zero Feedback, No Comment' Blogger page.
More interaction will result in more frequent updates, & new material.
